Suffolk Building Design where employed by Woodside Contracts as their Architectural Consultant to work with them to complete this Design & Build contract. The project had already gained planning permission via the local authority architects, therefore our role was to complete the technical part including Building Regulations, plus landscape design which was added to the project whilst construction was under way. The project consisted of converting the Caretaker's house onto a one bed flat and using the remaining ground floor, plus a large extension as two classrooms, offices, toilets and staff room. Due to time constraints the project was best suited to a modular pre-fab build. We have now used this method of construction on six school projects in Croydon with a great deal of success.

Due to time constraints the project was best suited to a modular pre-fab build, although this did mean a lot of care at design stage making sure dimensions and roof pitches matched the existing building exactly. As can be seen everything fitted extremely well and the project was completed and handed over for the start of term.
